Small Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas (United Kingdom, 1848-1943) oil on canvas painting titled "Joker" depicting a horse in profile, standing atop hay, against a tan background. Titled, signed, and dated "'Joker' H.F. Lucas Lucas '97" lower right. Additionally titled, signed, and inscribed, "Rugby July 1897" and stamped for "Winsor & Newton, London" en verso. Housed in a simple wood frame with a gilt filet. Sight: 10 1/2" H x 14" W. Frame 16 3/4" H x 20 1/2" W.
